Remote Project Manager (Agile)

Our client, an innovative software development company, is seeking an experienced and certified Remote Project Manager with a strong background in Agile methodologies. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to lead and deliver complex software development projects from inception to completion, managing cross-functional teams in a virtual environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering collaboration, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be instrumental in guiding teams through the Agile development lifecycle, championing best practices and driving project success.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects using Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban). Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Manage and motivate a remote, cross-functional project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies. Effectively communicate project status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders, including senior leadership. Ensure adherence to Agile principles and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication channels are maintained. Oversee the quality assurance process and ensure that project deliverables meet high standards. Track project progress using relevant metrics and reporting tools, making adjustments as necessary. Manage vendor relationships and contracts as required. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager, with a significant focus on managing software development projects using Agile methodologies. PMP and/or Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) is highly preferred. Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or similar. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams and foster collaboration in a virtual setting. Proficiency in risk management and conflict resolution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Experience in stakeholder management and delivering projects on time and within budget.
