Role Overview

We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer to join our distributed team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of our fintech solutions through a blend of manual, API, and automated testing. This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours, allowing you to maintain a healthy work‑life balance while contributing to cutting‑edge DeFi technology.

Key Responsibilities

Area	What You’ll Do
Manual Testing	• Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing on web and mobile interfaces. • Create and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
API Testing	• Design, implement, and run comprehensive API test suites (REST/GraphQL). • Validate data integrity, performance, and security of backend services.
Automation	• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (or similar frameworks). • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
Quality Advocacy	• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and security engineers to define acceptance criteria. • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives with a quality‑first mindset.
Performance & Security	• Conduct load, stress, and security testing for critical financial flows. • Work with the security team to verify compliance with industry standards (e.g., OWASP, ISO‑27001).
Documentation & Reporting	• Maintain up‑to‑date testing documentation in Confluence/Notion. • Provide clear, actionable test reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills

Must‑Have	Preferred
• 2+ years of hands‑on manual testing experience.	• Experience in a fintech or blockchain environment.
• Strong background in API testing (Postman, Insomnia, or similar).	• Familiarity with Bitcoin protocols and DeFi concepts.
• Proficiency with Playwright (or Cypress, Selenium) for UI automation.	• Knowledge of other test automation tools (e.g., Jest, Puppeteer).
• Ability to write clear, concise test cases and bug reports.	• Experience with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter).
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and remote collaboration tools (Slack, Jira, Confluence).	• Basic scripting/programming skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).
• Understanding of software security fundamentals (input validation, authentication, encryption).	• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
