About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance their product quality across all manufacturing stages. This critical role is responsible for establishing and maintaining rigorous quality control standards, ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. As a fully remote position, you will have the opportunity to implement quality management systems and lead quality initiatives from your home office, collaborating closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams located globally. Your expertise in quality assurance methodologies, statistical process control, and quality auditing will be essential in driving product excellence and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001). Establish quality control procedures and protocols for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods. Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support for their development. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections, both internally and at supplier sites, to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformities. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve product design and manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including specifications, test methods, and inspection reports. Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international quality regulations and customer-specific requirements. Manage customer complaints and feedback, driving investigations and resolutions to enhance customer satisfaction. Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Stay updated on the latest quality management techniques, tools, and regulatory changes. Oversee the implementation of statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and control process variability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or a related technical field. A Master's degree in Quality Management is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing setting. Proven experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS), preferably ISO 9001 certified. Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques, including SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis. Experience with quality auditing and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and effectively manage responsibilities in a remote environment. Proficiency in quality management software and tools. Experience in specific manufacturing sectors such as automotive, electronics, or consumer goods is highly desirable.
