Our client is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Remote Quantitative Analyst specializing in financial modeling. This is a fully remote position requiring deep expertise in statistical analysis, programming, and financial markets. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and validating complex quantitative models to support trading strategies, risk management, and investment decisions. This role involves working with large datasets, performing intricate calculations, and translating complex mathematical concepts into practical financial applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent programming skills, and a keen understanding of financial instruments and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities: Design, build, test, and deploy sophisticated quantitative models for pricing, risk assessment, and trading. Analyze large and complex financial datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and predictive signals. Develop algorithms and implement them in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++. Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights and solutions. Validate model performance, identify potential biases, and ensure accuracy and robustness. Stay abreast of the latest research in quantitative finance, machine learning, and statistical modeling. Contribute to the development of risk management frameworks and stress testing methodologies. Document models, methodologies, and results clearly and comprehensively. Communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's quantitative infrastructure and analytical tools. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or a related role, preferably within the finance industry. Expert proficiency in programming languages like Python (with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) or R, and C++. Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, fixed income, equities, and risk management principles. Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling, time series analysis, machine learning techniques, and data mining. Proven ability to develop and validate complex mathematical models. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex quantitative concepts clearly. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a remote setting. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark) is a plus.
