About the role

Role Overview

Paul Bridges Group is seeking a high-performing Rec2Rec Senior Principal to continue our growth within the hyper-competitive New York recruitment landscape. This is a full-cycle "360" role where you will act as a strategic advisor to NYC-based search firms and recruitment agencies, helping them secure the "top 1%" of billing talent. You will be responsible for sourcing, vetting, and placing experienced recruitment and search professionals across various high-growth sectors, particularly in Tech & Finance verticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Mapping: Execute detailed research and market mapping to identify top-billing recruitment professionals ($300k–$1M+ annual billers) in the NYC market
  • Recruiting: Proactively and creatively reach out to candidates via phone, social media, messaging
  • Candidate Assessment: Conduct deep-dive screenings to evaluate a recruiter's "sustainability and portability" of billings rather than just raw numbers
  • Advisory & Negotiation: Act as an intermediary during offer stages, assisting with complex salary and equity negotiations
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent your clients' brands to build a referral-heavy candidate network

Requirements

  • Proven Track Record: At least 2 years of agency recruitment experience, with a consistent billing history
  • NYC Market Intel: Understanding of the New York recruitment ecosystem, including local compensation trends and competitor landscapes
  • Self-Sufficient Mindset: Ability to operate with autonomy in a remote environment without needing rigid KPI management
  • Relationship Focus: A commitment to long-term "honesty and integrity" over transactional, high-volume placement
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using advanced sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search) and CRM/ATS platforms like Bullhorn
