Remote Senior AI Engineer - NLP Specialist

Responsibilities: Design, build, and deploy robust NLP models for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, machine translation, and question answering. Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for specific downstream applications. Process and analyze large volumes of textual data to extract meaningful insights and improve model performance. Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to integrate NLP capabilities into various platforms. Conduct thorough research into the latest advancements in NLP and AI, identifying opportunities for innovation. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python, utilizing libraries like spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, and TensorFlow/PyTorch. Develop and maintain data pipelines for training and evaluating NLP models. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of deployed NLP solutions. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in AI development. Present technical findings and project progress to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying NLP models. Proven expertise in building and fine-tuning LLMs and understanding their underlying architectures. Strong proficiency in Python and extensive experience with NLP libraries and frameworks. Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, statistical methods, and deep learning techniques applied to NLP. Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and evaluation metrics specific to NLP tasks. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated ML services. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote, asynchronous work environment. A portfolio of NLP projects or contributions to open-source NLP initiatives is highly desirable.
