Our client, a global leader in technology innovation, is seeking a highly accomplished Remote Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to fortify its digital infrastructure. This position is entirely remote, offering an exceptional opportunity to work with a world-class team while maintaining flexibility. You will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to protect our critical assets against evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in network security, cloud security, threat detection, and incident response.

Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions across our cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure comprehensive protection of systems and data. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing to identify and remediate potential risks. Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM and other security tools, responding effectively to security incidents. Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery, with minimal downtime. Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps). Evaluate, recommend, and implement new security technologies and tools to enhance our security posture. Develop and maintain security documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and incident response playbooks. Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security team members. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data privacy laws. Develop and execute security awareness training programs. Contribute to the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering and operations. Extensive experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS), endpoint security, and identity and access management (IAM). Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks. Strong understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment methodologies, and incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST). Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), vulnerability scanners, and security testing tools. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, or GIAC certifications are highly preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote environment. Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
