Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Senior Data Engineer to architect and manage their robust data infrastructure. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. Develop and manage data warehouses and data lakes. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity. Implement data governance policies and standards. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs. Utilize cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing. Work with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks. Ensure the security and compliance of data infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues. Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on building data pipelines and infrastructure. Expertise in SQL, Python, and data warehousing concepts. Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, EMR; Azure Data Factory, Synapse; Google BigQuery). Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). Strong understanding of data modeling and database design. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
