Remote Senior Field Installation Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Installation Engineer to join their fully remote technical team. This role is essential for overseeing and ensuring the successful installation and commissioning of complex systems and equipment at client sites, although the coordination and oversight will be conducted remotely. You will be responsible for planning installation projects, developing detailed work plans, and providing remote technical leadership and support to on-site installation crews. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of installation procedures, technical troubleshooting, and project management, coupled with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. You must be adept at interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving installation challenges, optimizing workflows, and ensuring timely project completion. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for installation teams and potentially clients during the installation phase, providing remote guidance and expertise. Key Responsibilities: Provide remote leadership and technical oversight for field installation projects. Develop detailed installation plans, schedules, and resource requirements. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality standards during installation. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve complex installation issues remotely. Coordinate with on-site teams, project managers, and clients via virtual communication. Mentor and guide field installation personnel. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion. Create detailed installation reports and documentation. Contribute to the development and refinement of installation procedures. Manage installation-related risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure proper commissioning and handover of installed systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience in field installation and commissioning of complex systems. Proven experience in a leadership or senior technical role. Strong understanding of project management principles. Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with CAD software and installation documentation. Strong communication, interpersonal, and remote collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety protocols. Experience in (Specify relevant industry, e.g., industrial automation, telecommunications, energy) is highly preferred.
