Remote Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Reporting

Our client, a leading firm in the financial sector, is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Senior Financial Analyst to join their esteemed accounting department. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of financial information. The successful candidate will play a key part in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of comprehensive financial statements. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Nigeria.

Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to management to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors. Streamline and improve accounting processes and internal controls. Conduct financial analysis for new business initiatives, investments, and operational improvements. Manage the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide support for their financial needs. Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to a positive team environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas). Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory frameworks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a remote setting. Experience working in the **Makurdi, Benue, NG** region is a plus, though the role is fully remote.
