About the role
Our client, a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an innovative and strategic Remote Senior FMCG Product Manager. This role is integral to driving the development, launch, and lifecycle management of our client's product portfolio. You will be responsible for conducting market research, identifying consumer needs, defining product roadmaps, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, all within a remote work structure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the FMCG market, a proven ability to translate insights into successful products, and exceptional leadership skills to guide product strategy from conception to market.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies and roadmaps for key FMCG categories. Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive intelligence, and consumer research to identify new product opportunities and market trends. Define product requirements, specifications, and go-to-market plans in collaboration with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams. Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development through to launch, growth, and end-of-life. Set and track product performance metrics (e.g., market share, sales volume, profitability, customer satisfaction). Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling brand positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies. Work closely with supply chain and operations to ensure efficient product development, manufacturing, and distribution. Analyze sales data and consumer feedback to inform product enhancements and future development. Present product strategies, roadmaps, and performance updates to senior management. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Identify and evaluate potential new product ideas and innovative solutions for the FMCG market. Ensure product quality and compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations. Lead and mentor junior product management team members. Champion a customer-centric approach throughout the product development process. Stay ahead of industry innovations and evolving consumer preferences. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is highly desirable. Minimum of 6 years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on the FMCG industry. Demonstrated success in launching and managing successful FMCG products. Strong understanding of market research methodologies and consumer behavior analysis. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Proven ability to develop and execute effective product strategies and roadmaps. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment, with strong self-management and collaboration skills. Proficiency in project management tools and product lifecycle management software. Experience with digital marketing and e-commerce platforms is a plus. A passion for consumer products and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
