Remote Senior HVAC Technician - Commercial Systems

Our client, a national facilities management company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior HVAC Technician to provide expert support for commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. While this is a fully remote position for management and administrative tasks, it requires the ability to travel to client sites as needed for installations, diagnostics, and repairs. The ideal candidate is a master of complex HVAC systems, with a proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial equipment.

Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive diagnostics on HVAC systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements. You will conduct installations of new HVAC units and components, ensuring they meet specifications and code requirements. Regular preventative maintenance and tune-ups on commercial HVAC equipment will be crucial to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This role involves interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to accurately diagnose and repair system malfunctions. You will also be responsible for maintaining detailed service records, documenting all work performed, and managing inventory of parts and supplies.

A vocational degree or certification in HVAC technology or a related field is required. A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong focus on commercial systems, is essential. EPA Universal Certification is mandatory. Proficient knowledge of various HVAC components, including compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and control systems, is required. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent mechanical aptitude, are crucial. The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and prioritize service calls is paramount. Excellent communication and customer service skills are necessary for interacting with clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
