Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Design

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC design to join their distributed engineering team. This role is critical for designing, developing, and implementing advanced heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical system design, with a deep understanding of HVAC principles and energy efficiency standards. Responsibilities include creating detailed design schematics, performing load calculations, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. You will collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, and project managers through digital platforms to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building designs. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently in a remote setting, and excellent communication abilities for clear and concise technical documentation and virtual team collaboration. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and HVAC design and analysis tools is essential. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems, as well as conducting performance analyses. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable HVAC solutions, contributing to the comfort and efficiency of buildings managed by our client, and impacting projects related to Jos, Plateau, NG . A professional engineering (PE) license is highly preferred, along with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex HVAC design projects.
