Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the skincare category, aligning with overall business objectives and market opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights gathering to identify unmet needs and emerging trends in skincare.
- Translate consumer needs and market insights into detailed product requirements, specifications, and go-to-market plans.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, formulation scientists, marketing, sales, and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and concept validation to formulation, testing, regulatory approval, and commercial launch.
- Develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies in partnership with the marketing team.
- Analyze product performance post-launch and iterate based on consumer feedback, sales data, and market dynamics.
- Present product strategies, roadmaps, and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Stay abreast of scientific advancements, ingredient innovations, and regulatory changes impacting the skincare industry.
- Manage product P&Ls and ensure commercial viability of new product introductions.
Requirements
- MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology) is a strong asset.
- 7+ years of progressive product management experience, with a significant focus on skincare or beauty products.
- Proven track record of successfully launching new products in the beauty/wellness space.
- Deep understanding of skincare ingredients, formulations, clinical testing, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EU regulations).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment is essential.
