About the role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead transformative agile initiatives for their organization, operating entirely remotely. This role is crucial for driving the adoption and effective implementation of agile methodologies across various departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of agile principles and frameworks, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to successful completion.
Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Coach and mentor project teams, product owners, and stakeholders on agile best practices and principles. Identify and remove impediments blocking team progress, escalating issues when necessary. Develop and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies. Foster collaboration and communication among team members, stakeholders, and leadership. Drive continuous improvement within teams and the wider organization by promoting agile values and principles. Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and dashboards to track progress and communicate status. Manage change effectively, ensuring smooth transitions and buy-in from all parties involved. Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization's agile transformation strategy. Ensure successful delivery of projects that meet quality standards and business objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred. PMP, CSM, CSPO, or other relevant project management and agile certifications are highly desirable. Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically in agile environments. Proven track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects. Deep understanding of agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Experience in change management and organizational transformation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in coaching and mentoring teams in agile practices.
