Our client is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Senior Sales Development Manager to build and lead a high-performing remote sales development team. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive outbound prospecting strategy to identify and qualify new business opportunities within target markets. Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of remote Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly targets.
- Develop and implement strategic outbound prospecting plans, identifying target accounts, key decision-makers, and effective outreach methods.
- Establish and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SDR team, monitoring performance and providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Utilize CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, SalesLoft) to track activity, manage pipelines, and generate performance reports.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling messaging, campaigns, and sales enablement materials.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions to foster professional development and address performance challenges.
- Analyze sales development performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and best practices.
- Ensure effective lead qualification and handover processes to the Account Executive team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging sales technologies.
- Contribute to the overall sales strategy and provide insights on market feedback gathered by the SDR team.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in a sales development or B2B outbound sales role, with at least 5 years of experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales leadership or management role, preferably with remote teams.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling a sales development function.
- Expertise in various prospecting techniques, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies and buyer personas.
- Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a remote work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
