Remote Senior Solutions Architect - Cloud

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solutions Architect with a specialization in cloud technologies for a fully remote position. This critical role involves designing, developing, and implementing scalable, robust, and secure cloud-based solutions that meet complex business requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and have a proven track record of architecting enterprise-level cloud environments. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, translating them into technical specifications, and creating comprehensive architectural designs. This includes defining infrastructure requirements, selecting appropriate cloud services, and ensuring the optimal integration of various components. The Senior Solutions Architect will also provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in cloud architecture, security, and performance. Experience with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) is highly desirable. This is a remote-first role requiring exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to effectively engage with distributed teams and stakeholders globally. You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and trends, providing strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams. The ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely is paramount. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. Translate business requirements into detailed technical architecture designs. Select appropriate cloud services and technologies to meet project objectives. Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud best practices and strategies. Collaborate with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery. Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams and specifications. Assess and mitigate technical risks associated with cloud deployments. Conduct architectural reviews and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends. Mentor junior engineers and architects on cloud technologies and design principles. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years focused on cloud solutions. In-depth expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proven experience architecting complex, enterprise-scale cloud environments. Strong understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts. Excellent knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a remote setting. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly preferred.
