Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Tourism Product Development Manager to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role will focus on conceptualizing, designing, and launching new tourism experiences and packages that captivate a global audience. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic vision for the future of travel, a deep understanding of market trends, and a proven ability to manage complex product lifecycles from ideation to implementation. You will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, operations, and sales, to ensure the successful development and promotion of unique and compelling travel offerings.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging travel trends to inform product development strategies.
  • Conceptualize and design innovative and sustainable tourism products, packages, and experiences tailored to various customer segments.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies for proposed new products.
  • Develop detailed business cases, including financial projections, operational requirements, and marketing plans, for new tourism initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., local operators, DMOs, technology providers) to develop and refine product offerings.
  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept and planning through to launch, evaluation, and iteration.
  • Set clear product objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics, and regularly monitor product performance post‑launch.
  • Ensure all developed products align with brand values, quality standards, and sustainability principles.
  • Create compelling product descriptions, itineraries, and marketing collateral in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Stay abreast of global tourism trends, technological advancements, and best practices in product innovation.
  • Present product development proposals and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and destination management organizations to ensure product viability and quality.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in tourism product development, travel industry strategy, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated success in conceptualizing, developing, and launching new travel products or experiences.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the global tourism landscape, including market dynamics, consumer behavior, and emerging destinations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Proficiency in market research tools and data analysis.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly advantageous.
  • Passion for travel and a creative mindset with a strong commercial acumen.
