Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Remote Senior UI/UX Designer to join their innovative product development team. This is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to contribute to impactful projects from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces and experiences for our digital products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and proficiency in modern design tools. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into seamless and effective designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to execution, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design.
• Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Develop user flows, journey maps, and personas to represent user needs and interactions.
• Conduct user testing and usability studies to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
• Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and component libraries.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Present design concepts and solutions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization.
• Ensure design consistency and quality across all product touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of digital product design work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc.
• Strong understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and data analysis.
• Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
• Experience in designing for both web and mobile platforms.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for creating user-centered, impactful digital experiences.
