Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Technical Solutions Specialist to join our AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) department.
Reporting to the Director of AEC, this role will contribute to the success of supporting strategic efforts within Esri Canada’s AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) department and work closely with the Industry Manager, Customer Success Manager, Partner Manager, Marketing and Regional Technical Solution Specialists, to demonstrate ArcGIS based solutions in support of AEC industry technology requirements and provide technical advice for strategic initiatives of the AEC department, in a pre-sales capacity, to prospective customers, existing customers and key business partners.
This role is fully remote within Canada.
A Day in the Life of a Technical Solutions Specialist at Esri Canada
- Team up with Partner Managers, Industry Managers and Account Managers to provide technical enablement that leads to adoption by existing and perspective partners and clients.
- Lead in the development of prototype applications and GIS workflows that strategically position Esri technology within the AEC market, or for a specific strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with Esri Canada’s Technology Strategy Group, Industry Managers, Marketing and Regional Technical Solution Specialists and Account Managers, as required, to design, develop and support solution demonstrations/presentations.
- Act as a technical advisor to provide a solution strategy to support key initiatives, opportunities and proposals.
- Create and support the development of public and internal facing presentations, POC’s and other content to support AEC industry requirements and initiatives.
- Provide technical advice, develop solutions, assist with decisions on software choice, as well as, professional services needs and training requirements to strengthen relationships with partners and organizations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of strategic initiatives including defining project scope, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Qualifications
University Degree, College Diploma or relevant experience in a related field of study
- 3+ years of technical experience working with Autodesk technology
- Strong knowledge and experience of standard industry products including AutoCAD, Civil3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Forma, BIM360, and Revit
- A familiarity with InfraWorks, Bentley MicroStation - ITwin, ProjectWise, BlueBeam Revu, and Hexagon CADWorx® would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Apps, -, PRO GeoBIM and Autodesk connectors
- Working knowledge of Arcade, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps
- Prior consulting services, sales support or sales engineer experience.
