Our client, a rapidly expanding cybersecurity firm, is offering an exceptional opportunity for motivated individuals to join their team as a Trainee Cyber Security Analyst. This is a fully remote, paid internship designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in the critical field of cybersecurity. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining invaluable skills and knowledge to protect organizations from digital threats, supporting a distributed global team that engages with challenges originating from Gombe, Gombe, NG . This program is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to transition into a career in cybersecurity. You will be exposed to various aspects of security operations, threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management. Key responsibilities will include: Monitoring security alerts and logs using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools. Assisting in the identification and analysis of potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Supporting the incident response team in investigating and documenting security incidents. Conducting basic vulnerability scans and assisting in the remediation process. Learning and applying cybersecurity frameworks and best practices. Participating in threat intelligence gathering and analysis. Assisting in the development of security policies and procedures. Engaging in continuous learning to stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies. Shadowing senior analysts and participating in team meetings and training sessions. Contributing to security awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cybersecurity, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a foundational understanding of networking concepts and operating systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are crucial. While prior cybersecurity experience is not required, demonstrable passion and projects in this area (e.g., personal labs, CTF participation) will be highly advantageous. This internship provides a solid foundation for a successful career in cybersecurity, offering mentorship and real-world experience in a supportive remote setting.
