Remote UX/UI Designer - Digital Products

Our client, a fast-growing digital product studio, is seeking a highly creative and skilled Remote UX/UI Designer to join their dynamic, fully remote team. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within Nigeria. You will be responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences for a range of digital products, including web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, agile environment.

Responsibilities: Translate complex user needs and business requirements into elegant and intuitive interface designs. Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for digital products. Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions. Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. Ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across all digital touchpoints. Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analytics, and technical constraints. Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Present design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to internal teams and clients. Advocate for the user, ensuring that usability and accessibility are prioritized in all designs. Contribute to a positive and collaborative remote team culture. Manage design tasks and timelines effectively within an agile development process. Qualifications: Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and accomplishments. Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision). Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design. Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing. Familiarity with front-end development principles and how designs translate into code. Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, typography, and color theory. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, particularly for remote collaboration. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively. Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus. Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) is desirable. Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
