Renewable Energy Engineer

Our client, a forward-thinking company at the forefront of the energy transition, is seeking a talented Renewable Energy Engineer to join their operations in Abeokuta, Ogun, NG . This role is integral to the development, implementation, and optimization of renewable energy projects, contributing to a sustainable future. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of renewable energy systems, from feasibility studies and design to installation and performance monitoring.

Your responsibilities will include conducting technical assessments and feasibility studies for solar, wind, or other renewable energy installations; designing and specifying renewable energy systems, including components and layouts; managing project implementation, coordinating with contractors and suppliers; overseeing the installation and commissioning of renewable energy infrastructure; troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during operation; monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements; ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations; and preparing technical reports and documentation. You will also play a role in evaluating new technologies and contributing to innovation within the company.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering, with a strong academic record and practical experience in the renewable energy sector. Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD) and a solid understanding of energy systems, power electronics, and grid integration are essential. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong project management capabilities, are required. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and strong communication skills to present technical information clearly, are also important. Familiarity with the energy landscape in Abeokuta, Ogun, NG and surrounding regions would be an asset.
