Renewable Energy Project Manager

Our client, a dynamic leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a seasoned Renewable Energy Project Manager to spearhead impactful projects. This role is based in our Onitsha, Anambra, NG office and operates on a hybrid model, blending office collaboration with remote flexibility. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, from conception and feasibility studies through to construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, defining project scope, and establishing project budgets and timelines. You will lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. This involves managing stakeholder relationships, including clients, regulatory bodies, and community partners, to ensure smooth project execution and achieve project objectives. You will also be responsible for risk assessment and mitigation, resource allocation, and regular progress reporting to senior management. Experience in solar, wind, or other renewable energy technologies is essential, along with a strong understanding of project management methodologies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil), Project Management, or a related field. A PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred. You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience managing complex energy projects, with a significant portion focused on renewable energy. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills are vital for success. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, troubleshoot challenges, and make critical decisions under pressure is required.
