Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses of advanced malware, firmware and complex software stacks
- Analyse embedded hardware and document the results in clear technical reports
- Design and develop scalable frameworks for analysis and reverse engineering
- Take responsibility for analysis tasks and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
- Contribute to research and innovation initiatives in the field of cyber defence
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen national cyber defence capabilities
- Support secure, sovereign and mission-critical systems in the context of national security
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent practical experience
- Practical experience in reverse engineering complex software or hardware systems
- Experience with industry-standard reverse engineering tools and debugging techniques
- Excellent understanding of x86/x64, ARM and MIPS assembly as well as low-level system architectures
- Basic knowledge of hardware and electronics (e.g. PCB fundamentals and signal debugging) is an advantage
- Experience in building automations, tools or analysis pipelines (e.g. scripts and frameworks)
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex results clearly
- Very good English skills; German is an advantage
- Swiss citizenship or eligibility for a security clearance in the national context
