Job Purpose
The Research & Insights team supports BritBox and BBC Select across North America, delivering consumer insight that shapes decision-making across the business. As specialists in direct-to-consumer streaming, we provide actionable intelligence that informs editorial investment, business strategy, marketing effectiveness, product development, and broader commercial initiatives—ensuring the voice of the consumer sits at the heart of a fast-evolving streaming landscape.
We are seeking a Research & Insights Analyst to support the continued growth of our North American streaming business. Based in New York and reporting to the Research Manager, this role will help plan, execute, and deliver a range of strategic research initiatives.
The Analyst will contribute to both quantitative and qualitative research projects, support the management and quality control of research outputs, and maintain customer survey databases and ongoing user tracking studies. Working closely with the wider team, this role offers hands-on exposure to multiple research methodologies and cross-functional stakeholders, building strong foundations in consumer and streaming insight.

Responsibilities
- Help to translate consumer data and feedback into actionable insights for stakeholders across the Marketing, Editorial and Programming, Product, Data, and Strategy teams
- Actively contributes to a variety of strategic primary research projects, from inputting on questionnaire, screener, and discussion guide design to analyzing data and helping to produce actionable reports
- Participate in the setup, distribution, and reporting of regular user surveys among the subscriber base
- Build crosstabs from survey data, thinking strategically about how best to answer business questions and explore audiences of interest
- Analyze data from syndicated and third-party providers (e.g., Antenna, MRI-Simmons, Ampere Analysis, etc.), helping to inform key business decisions and helping the business stay abreast of major trends
- Manage the customer database in our survey platform, including survey distribution, fieldwork, and data privacy processing
- Assist in the exploration and implementation of AI solutions in the research process to drive efficiency and boost productivity
- Lead quality control across every stage of the research cycle, including reviewing testing survey links and proofing outputs and deliverables
- Conduct ad hoc desk research to address stakeholder questions and fill in knowledge gaps
Knowledge And Experience
- Experience working in consumer insights, market research, strategy, measurement, or a related field
- Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related area (e.g., Social Sciences, Statistics, Psychology, Business, Marketing, Economics, etc.)
- Experience building and distributing surveys with an online survey platform (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Decipher, etc.)
- Experience with data analysis packages (e.g., Q Research, SPSS, Displayr, etc.) preferred
- Experience extracting insights from data and presenting findings in a clear, highly visual way.
- Experience with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel a must.
- Thrives in fast-paced working environment and adept at time management
- Keen attention to detail
- A collaborative and curious team player
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and comfortable presenting insights to leaders across the business and interfacing with agency partners
- Passion for television and entertainment (and particularly British TV!) a plus
Salary Range
$65-80K base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potential
Please note that the salary range is intended to give as an indicator of the salaries that could be attributed to the breadth or experience for a given role. All candidates will be measured based on their level of experience.
