Project Manager Research 80-100%
In this demanding and versatile role, you will take over the management and implementation of a portfolio of scientific research projects. This includes, in particular, significant projects such as the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study, the Cann-L pilot project, or the tobacco marketing monitoring.
Main tasks
- Management and implementation of complex research projects
- Further development of existing research axes as well as acquisition of new projects
- Drafting of grant applications and participation in tender processes
- Monitoring of project risks as well as ensuring budget and schedule compliance
- Analysis and preparation of scientific data as well as writing of research reports and scientific publications
- Presentation of project results to experts, institutions, and other stakeholders
- Professional guidance and supervision of scientific staff within the project teams
- Maintenance and expansion of successful collaborations with public institutions and project funders (FOPH, cantonal authorities, foundations)
Profile
- University degree (Master or PhD) in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Psychology, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in scientific research as well as in the management of complex research projects
- Proven experience in the successful acquisition of research projects and third-party funding
- Very good knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as confident use of programs such as SPSS, R, or Stata
- Experience in communicating with experts, media, as well as political and social partners
- Leadership skills as well as enjoyment of teamwork and knowledge transfer
- Native language German or French with excellent knowledge of the other language (level C1/C2) in spoken and written form; good English skills are an additional plus
- Outstanding editorial skills as well as the ability to prepare complex topics in an understandable way
- Knowledge in the field of addiction and dependency is an advantage
- Independent, structured, and committed personality with a high interest in societal topics and the NGO environment
