MAITRA ASSOCIATES, P.C., a multi-discipline engineering/CM firm celebrating over 40 years of practice, has immediate openings for Resident Engineers to join our Team for major bridge/highway projects in Orange County, New York. Projects will involve inspection of highway reconstruction, asphalt milling and resurfacing, bridge replacement/ rehabilitation, and roadway drainage projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inspection personnel and subconsultants.
• Interface with Client, project inspectors, contractors, and design consultants,
• Maintain high standards of workmanship conforming to contract plans and specifications,
• Negotiate with contractors·

Requirements

• P.E. License in New York
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Resident Engineering overseeing bridge/highway construction projects of $10 million or more.
• Good computer and writing skills.
• Ability to take charge and manage a field staff of 5 or more inspectors.
• Previous experience in REI services
• Familiarity with Site Manager
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
