Resident Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Update ECU software and firmware while ensuring correct versions and configurations
  • Participate in client integration tests and capture ECU-related bugs (e.g., resistor-related issues)
  • Support vehicle testing, system integration, and validation activities
  • Monitor, track, and report issues using client systems (e.g., KPM / ticketing tools)
  • Coordinate with supplier engineering teams to resolve identified issues
  • Perform diagnostics and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Provide regular status updates and technical reports to client and supplier stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree in Hardware Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with Automotive SPICE processes
  • Proficiency in requirements and ticket management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jira)
  • Strong teamwork skills in multi-location / distributed project environments
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at the client facility
  • Good communication skills in English and German
  • Driving license with experience in test drive support, including engineering tool usage and log file capture/analysis
