Job Description

Main Mission

To manage a product line and ensure the complete management of associated projects, from needs analysis to market launch, while guaranteeing compliance, technical performance, and adherence to contractual commitments.

Product Line Management

• Market & Customer Watch: Analyze product evolutions, customer needs, and technological trends.
• Needs Definition: Identify areas for improvement and development needs for the product line.
• Competitive Watch: Monitor competitors' innovations and positioning.
• Product Design Management: Contribute to the aesthetic and functional evolution of products.
• Technical Analysis: Establish estimates, anticipate technical risks, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Documentation & Industrialization: Update necessary production documents and ensure proper data structuring.
• Product Compliance: Ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

Sales Team Support

• Product Demonstrations: Assist sales teams during presentations or demonstrations.
• Quoting & Offers: Prepare quotes and contribute to technical and commercial proposals.
• Events & Trade Shows: Represent the product line at professional trade shows.

Project / Contract Management

• Complete Project Management: Ensure adherence to budget, deadlines, and deliverables, with regular reporting.
• Specifications & Documentation: Contribute to the drafting and validation of product specifications.
• Planning: Establish schedules and forecasts in coordination with internal teams and clients.
• Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and manage project risks.
• Industrialization: Produce documents necessary for manufacturing (workflows, procedures, integration and qualification plans).
• Testing & Validation: Manage the drafting of test procedures and analyze results.
• Client Interface: Manage contractual relationships, including meetings, deliverables, and amendments.
• Purchasing & Subcontracting: Process purchase requests and manage service providers.
• Technical Support: Respond to internal and client requests.
• Compliance & Processes: Ensure adherence to development processes and associated procedures.

Functional Management

• Cross-functional Management: Lead and coordinate engineering and technical teams involved in projects.
• Inter-departmental Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and sales teams.

Compensation

• Salary: €60,000 - €75,000 per year

Candidate Profile

We are ideally looking for a systems engineering profile who has moved into product management roles within complex technological industrial environments.

Education & Experience

• Engineering degree or equivalent (Bac +5 technical)
• Significant experience in complex systems environments (robotics, defense, naval, aeronautics, deeptech...)
• Experience in product management, product line management, or technological product steering
• Experience in autonomous systems (AUVs, drones, underwater robotics) is highly valued
• Oral and written English is essential

Technical Skills

• Strong command of complex system architectures (hardware/software/integration)
• Knowledge of mechatronics, electronics, and/or embedded software
• Ability to understand multi-technology systems
• Understanding of the challenges related to autonomous systems and their operational environment
• Comfortable interacting with expert technical teams

Soft Skills

• Strong product orientation and understanding of market challenges
• Ability to thrive in demanding and multidisciplinary technical environments
• Team-building aptitude
• Synthesis skills and decision-making ability
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus

The role involves regular interactions with international clients and partners, with occasional travel abroad (approximately one week every two months).
