Our location: Issoudun (36), between Bourges and Châteauroux at the gates of the Châteaux de la Loire and Touraine (1h15 by car or train), 2 hours from Paris by car or train, in the Centre Val De Loire region, well-equipped with cultural and leisure infrastructure and offering you large spaces and fiber optic for remote working days.

The Design Office of the Upholstery-Trimming Competence Center is responsible for the complete design of the upholstered modules that are on the seats and shells (metal or plastic structures covered with foam and a cover).

Your MISSION

• Pilot a team of Design Engineers in their missions (design respecting deadlines and cost/weight objectives, technical and reliability requirements).
• Accompany your team towards increased experience and maturity.

Your DAILY tasks will include:

Activities of Management:

• Translate the service roadmap into operational objectives for your team and pilot the Design Office indicators that will result, respecting SQCDPI standards.
• Encourage the growth of skills (mechanical techniques, upholstery techniques, and project management) and autonomy within your team.
• Prioritize and organize human and technical resources, encouraging innovation, communication with other services, and continuous improvement.

Technical Activities:

• Actively support the team in the development and validation of sub-assemblies and their components, with particular attention to dimension chains and fixing interfaces.
• Promote and facilitate co-design with the design team, with other design offices and other departments (Quality, Purchasing, Experts, etc.) to ensure the efficiency and integrity of each project, by testing and validating designs in close collaboration with the prototype workshop and the Industrialization department.
• Participate in technological watch and knowledge capitalization (writing professional guides).

We will leverage the experience and autonomy of a senior profile as well as support less experienced profiles in their skill development.

The Upholstery-Trimming Competence Center is the small company serving the large structure, with a strong team spirit. All the trades related to our products, from design to production monitoring, are gathered under one roof to facilitate communication, accelerate processes, and encourage continuous improvement of our products and practices.

You have significant experience in upholstery or mechanical design.

You also have successful experience in project management or management.

Proficiency in English is necessary.
