Job Description

Portage CyberTech is looking for a DevOps Specialist responsible for technical expertise, with experience in Java development as well as a mastery of automation and continuous deployment on AWS infrastructures, in order to contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions and ensure a scalable and reliable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Technically oversee DevOps practices and advise on the best solutions.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our cloud infrastructure
• Ensure security compliance and evaluate security measures
• Improve and maintain automated integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Improve system monitoring and alerting processes
• Collaborate with other teams on projects, manage competing priorities, and bridge gaps between development and operations teams.
• Develop or optimize tools and automations to simplify workflows.
• Support development and QA teams in managing their test environments.
• Participate in MEP releases and ensure their reliability.
• Explore and integrate AI-based solutions to improve performance, incident prediction, or automation of operations.

Qualifications And Skills Required

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience
• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and principles, and experience in applying them to ensure rapid deployments, service stability, and scalability.
• Expertise in the AWS ecosystem and its key services
• Methodical and organized in task and project management, with a good understanding of Agile methodologies and tools.
• Experience in optimizing and operating SRE tools for monitoring, alerting, resiliency, and automating systems.

Experience With

• Process automation and scripting languages: (Python, Groovy, bash, etc.)
• DevOps tools: Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Git, Nexus, OpenSearch (Elasticsearch / Kibana), CloudWatch
• Developer tools: IntelliJ, Eclipse, Maven, SonarQube
• Java Spring Boot Microservices
• Jira, Confluence, Slack
• AWS (ECS Fargate, EC2, Lambda, S3, Elasticache, ...)
• MongoDB (Atlas), PostgreSQL, MySQL (AWS Aurora)
• RabbitMQ, Keycloak, Twilio, Entrust PKI

Asset

• Security knowledge (CVE, network, etc.)
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem
• Experience with artificial intelligence applied to operations or automation.
