Join BRP's central Data and Analytics (DNA) team as an AI Advisor and share your analytical skills and business vision with our dynamic team. This position is ideal for someone who strives to combine their understanding of business intelligence with the predictive power of data science to uncover new opportunities for BRP.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

AI Evaluation & Technical Due Diligence

• Be the technical reference for AI/ML when evaluating vendor solutions or internal AI initiatives
• Challenge AI vendor claims: question model architecture, training data, performance metrics, limitations, and risks
• Define evaluation frameworks and success criteria for any AI solution considered
• Conduct in-depth code analyses, benchmarks, or proofs of concept on occasion when the decision requires it

Technical Evaluation

• Work alongside the AI Product Owner to inform Build or Buy decisions with technical depth
• Identify hidden risks before they become problems: bias, model drift, lack of explainability, vendor lock-in, data sovereignty
• Ensure that every AI initiative, whether developed internally or sourced externally, is based on technical reality and not marketing claims

Cross-Functional Communication

• Bridge the gap between complex AI/ML concepts and business realities at all levels of the organization
• Make AI understandable for business stakeholders, and business complexity actionable for technical teams
• Intervene with equal credibility in executive conversations and in-depth technical reviews

AI Watch and Long-Term Anticipation

• Maintain active monitoring of the AI landscape, emerging techniques, and vendor evolutions
• Anticipate relevant opportunities before vendors bring them
• Contribute to the maturity and AI culture of the AIML organization as a whole

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• MSc (preferred), BSc, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior role in Data Science, AI Research, or Applied AI, or equivalent level gained in high-level consulting with deep specialization in AI
• Solid theoretical foundations in ML/AI: fine-grained understanding of LLMs, classical ML, deep learning, and optimization
• Naturally curious and critical, able to ask the questions others don't know how to formulate
• Excellent communication skills, able to adapt your register from in-depth technical analysis to executive summary
• Fluency in French and English, the team operates primarily in English

STAND OUT WITH...

• Experience evaluating or auditing AI solutions from external vendors
• Exposure to AI risk topics: fairness, explainability, data governance, regulatory compliance
• Ability to write code or conduct experiments when the decision requires it, without being primarily a developer profile
• Knowledge of the AI/ML vendor landscape in relevant domains
• A background combining deep technical expertise with exposure to business or strategic issues
