An exciting opportunity is available for a Restaurant Business Manager to join a well-established, upmarket restaurant in Cape Town, Western Cape. This senior, hands-on leadership role is ideal for a results-driven hospitality professional with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for operational excellence.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the restaurant’s day-to-day performance, business growth, and guest experience. With equity participation on offer, this role goes beyond traditional management — providing real influence over strategy, standards, and long-term success. You will lead from the front, inspire a high-performing team, and ensure world-class service, systems, and financial discipline across all areas of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full restaurant operations, ensuring consistent service excellence and brand standards
• Drive business growth through strategic planning, execution, and team leadership
• Implement and maintain systems, checklists, and operational controls
• Manage financial performance, including food, beverage, labour costs, and reporting
• Lead, train, motivate, and discipline a diverse team
• Uphold strict food safety, health, hygiene, and cleanliness standards

Job Requirements

• 5–15 years’ proven experience in restaurant group management with business growth achievements
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and process-driven
• Solid financial acumen, payroll experience, and cost-control expertise
• Relevant tertiary qualification preferred; HACCP/Food Safety is mandatory
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and basic accounting software
• Valid driver’s licence, Cape Town based, with legal eligibility to work in South Africa
• Willingness to undergo full background, security, and reference checks
