About the role
Job Summary
The Manager of Retail and Events is responsible for organizing lead‑generating retail and consumer events in 3 Markets. Those Markets consist of Philadelphia, New York & New Jersey. This will include identifying retail and event opportunities, developing scripts and collateral and management of retail and event staff, including their hours & productivity. This will include identifying & scheduling events such as Home Show, State Fairs, Fairs, etc.
to staff with a team that generates quality appointments for our sales force. You are responsible for interviewing, training, teaching, & going coaching of the team of promoters which consist of visiting promoters on a consistent basis at retail partners & events.

- Manage a team of promoters to generate leads for the sales force across retail partnerships & events.
- Manages the execution and logistics of retail shows and exhibitions, including set‑up, break‑down and transportation of the display/space, promotional items, literature, scripts and other details.
- Interview, hire, train, teach, coach & evaluate promoters to achieve PJ Fitz company standards.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels to hit budget goals. Work closely with recruiting to ensure the number of interviews needed to stay staffed.
- Develop promoters’ schedules to hit goals. Schedules are to always be 2 weeks out.
- Consistent visits to promoters within retail & events spaces to coach, train, shadow and inspect what is expected in the field.
Work Schedule
Full Time, M‑F 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM (Weekends during event season, Off‑days change during event season)
Travel
- 50% – “Office” Market will be home location (Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey) – 1 Week in each of the other 2 Markets, 2 Weeks in Home Market.
- Subject to change during Home Show Season to meet business needs.
Pay
Salary plus the potential of a monthly bonus!
