About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Management Analyst to join the Self Storage Plus team. As a Revenue Management Analyst, you will play a key role in maximizing revenue through the optimization of pricing strategies for properties managed by Self Storage Plus. You will also report on property and portfolio level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and present performance trend analyses and revenue-related proposals to senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and property performance data to develop pricing strategies and recommendations for property and portfolio-level rental rates and promotional programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor pricing and promotional activities to maintain competitiveness in the market.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to implement pricing strategies and monitor the results.
  • Conduct regular revenue analysis using established KPIs and make data-driven recommendations to enhance revenue potential.
  • Develop and maintain revenue management tools and models to support pricing decisions.
  • Conduct pricing analyses for new property acquisitions and provide insights to support investment decisions.
  • Identify revenue management best practices and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends and changes in market dynamics to ensure revenue management strategies remain relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to align revenue management strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate with partners regarding updates, changes, and performance of their property.
  • Develop expertise in local storage markets by keeping up to date with seasonal trends, property details, new supply, and changes to competitor pricing.
  • Develop relationships and communication protocols with corporate & field staff, ranging from store managers to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Experience in revenue management, pricing analysis, or related field, preferably in the self storage industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw insights from large datasets and provide recommendations for revenue optimization.
  • Proficient in using revenue management software and tools, such as revenue management systems (RMS) and data visualization tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis using functions, formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with property managers, regional teams, and cross-functional departments.
  • Previous experience in Business Intelligence and building dashboards with Tableau, PowerBl or Qlik preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this position will be from $75,000 to $90,000 annually.
