Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled RFP Proposal Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in crafting compelling proposals that communicate our organization’s strengths and capabilities. This position requires excellent writing, editing, and research skills, along with the ability to produce clear, persuasive documents aligned with organizational goals.
Duties
- Research potential funding opportunities and understand client requirements thoroughly to develop tailored proposals.
- Write, edit, and proofread proposal content ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to organizational standards such as AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather necessary information and verify facts through diligent fact-checking and research.
- Develop compelling narratives that highlight our organization’s strengths, services, and impact through creative and technical writing techniques.
- Manage multiple proposal deadlines efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards across all documents.
- Ensure all proposals are professionally formatted using word processing tools and meet submission guidelines.
- Maintain an organized repository of proposal templates, previous submissions, and research materials for future use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or related fields with a strong emphasis on grant or RFP (Request for Proposal) responses.
- Exceptional proofreading, copy editing, and editing skills to ensure polished final documents.
- Strong research abilities with experience in fact checking and verifying data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex ideas in accessible language.
- Familiarity with AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and professional formatting standards for proposals.
- Experience with copywriting, creative writing, journalism, or related disciplines is advantageous.
- Proficiency in word processing software and document management systems.

$50,086.31 - $60,362.01 per year
