About the role
Position Overview
Davingy Creative and Public Art LLC seeks a W-2 Technical RFP Writer to prepare, coordinate, and submit responses to RFPs, RFQs, and grant opportunities. As a W-2 employee you will work remotely (California) within a structured review process with senior creative and executive staff, following company workflows, schedules, and supervision. This is an employee role with employer-provided equipment/support and payroll withholding.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft RFP and RFQ responses, executive summaries, and cover letters
- Write technical narratives, project approaches, and methodology descriptions
- Develop qualifications/experience sections and scopes of work
- Review RFP requirements, create submission checklists, and monitor deadlines
- Track deliverables, coordinate internal review cycles, and prepare final submission packages
- Upload proposals to submission portals and ensure compliance with submission instructions
- Participate in team meetings and regular status reporting
Work Structure & Supervision (California W-2)
- Work schedule set in coordination with manager; regular hours and core meeting times expected
- Work methods, priorities, and deliverables assigned and reviewed by company leadership
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Hourly W-2 range $40–$75/hr
- Overtime paid for non-exempt employees per California law
- Employer payroll tax withholding and California wage statement/payroll reporting
- Paid sick leave (CA minimum) and paid time off (PTO) policy
- Eligible for state-mandated unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, and disability benefits
- 401(k) eligibility and other benefits per company handbook (if applicable)
Required Qualifications
- Prior RFP/proposal writing experience with demonstrated wins
- Strong technical writing and document-organization skills
- Ability to interpret complex RFP requirements and produce compliant responses
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, strong formatting skills
- Ability to collaborate with creative and executive teams and integrate feedback
