As a Rig Design Engineer, you will design groundbreaking test rigs for compressors and turbines, leveraging your mechanical engineering expertise to overcome complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design of test rigs for compressors and turbines and their adaptation to the test bench, especially assemblies in the test article environment such as inlet, traversing systems, guide vane actuation systems, casings, bearings, etc.
• Design tasks ranging from simple component tests to complex engine and assembly units for development.
• Documentation through designs, detail drawings (including bills of materials) and 3D models in the CAD tool NX and PLM Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Several years of experience in the relevant field
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of CAD modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation (experience with Siemens NX is an advantage)
• Good knowledge of basic general design and drawing standards (e.g., geometric tolerances)
• Very good English and German language skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to systematically evaluate complex contexts and solve complex problems
• Team player with the ability to work in simultaneous engineering teams

Desired Skills

• Experience in the aerospace sector or in the design of aircraft engines is an advantage
• Experience in the design of high-precision, high-load components and assemblies, design of test rigs (mechanical design)
• Good knowledge of PLM systems
