We’re working with a well-funded AI and robotics company developing advanced autonomous systems operating in highly complex real-world environments.

They’re hiring a Robotics Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams focused on building scalable autonomy and robotic platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role combining technical depth, people management, and cross-functional execution.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and growing high-performing software and robotics engineering teams
• Driving execution across autonomy, perception, infrastructure, and platform initiatives
• Partnering closely with product, research, and hardware leadership to define technical strategy and roadmap
• Establishing engineering best practices, development processes, and delivery standards
• Mentoring senior engineers and technical leads while fostering a strong engineering culture
• Helping scale systems from R&D through deployment in real-world operational environments
• Balancing hands-on technical involvement with organisational leadership and execution

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams in complex technical environments
• Strong software engineering background with experience in distributed systems, robotics, autonomy, AI, or infrastructure platforms
• Track record of delivering large-scale technical projects from concept through production
• Experience working cross-functionally with research, product, and hardware teams
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational leadership skills

Preferred background:

• Robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, industrial automation, or embodied AI
• Experience scaling engineering organisations during periods of rapid growth
• Exposure to safety-critical or real-world deployed systems
• Prior experience managing managers or multiple teams is a plus
