About Us

S3NS was born from the industrial partnership between Thales, a global leader in cybersecurity, and Google Cloud, a global leader in cloud solutions. We aim to offer the best of both worlds to all organizations concerned with protecting their sensitive data (public institutions, OIV, OSE…), namely a solution equivalent to Google Cloud Platform (including both IaaS and PaaS services of GCP) and respecting the requirements of the SecNumCloud label.

A first offering, 'Local Controls with S3NS', has been available since February 2023 to allow our clients to benefit from a first level of transparency and additional controls, and to accelerate the trajectory towards trusted cloud.

Your missions revolve around the three fundamental pillars of FinOps - Information, Optimization, and Industrialization - complemented by the deployment of a maturity framework to manage continuous improvement plans.

Your scope includes controlling internal expenses as well as supporting and financially assisting client accounts.

Responsibilities

1. Cost Visibility and Allocation (Inform)

• Implement rigorous tagging and labeling strategies to ensure 100% visibility on expenses.
• Create and maintain monitoring dashboards (Looker) for different Business Units.
• Analyze cost variations and identify consumption anomalies in real-time.

2. Cost Optimization (Optimize)

• Identify underutilized or "orphan" resources (unused instances, unattached storage volumes).
• Recommend advanced purchasing strategies: Reserved Instances (RI), Savings Plans, and use of Spot instances.
• Collaborate with architects to optimize resource sizing (Rightsizing).

3. Governance and Culture (Operate)

• Lead steering committees between Finance and Tech.
• Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Unit Economic Cost (e.g., cloud cost per transaction or per user).
• Establish budgets and alerting systems to hold application owners accountable.

Your Profile

• You have a Master's degree (Bac+5) from an Engineering or Computer Science school, with a strong affinity for financial management (or vice versa).
• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• You master the practices around querying and manipulating raw GCP billing data via BigQuery and SQL.
• You have experience operating data in a web environment with visualization and data manipulation modules (NodeJS/React).
• FinOps certifications are a plus.
