About Us

We are an innovative and modern service authority with over 1,200 employees in Fellbach. Our central tasks include the payment of remuneration and pensions, salaries, travel expenses, and subsidies for sickness costs (aid) to the employees of the state of Baden-Württemberg. We are supported by modern information and communication technology.

Your New Tasks

  • Administration and further development of our CI/CD environment (administration and maintenance of servers and tooling, further development of pipeline scripts)
  • Administration and setup of various applications on Linux servers
  • Setup, administration, and optimization of our PostgreSQL databases
  • Creation and maintenance of job automations in Automic using shell scripts

What You Bring

  • Completed university degree (Bachelor's or FH degree) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT-related degree program, or an IT vocational training followed by several years of professional experience in this field

  • Reliability and sense of responsibility

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Structured, independent, and results-oriented way of working

  • In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, experience in server administration (especially with Red Hat Enterprise Linux) is required

  • The following knowledge would also be advantageous:

    • Basic knowledge of shell scripting

    • Experience with Git
    • Experience in the DevOps area (at least as a user, ideally also in administration): GitLab or comparable code hosting system (e.g., GitHub, Atlassian Bitbucket); Jenkins or comparable build system (e.g., Atlassian Bamboo); development and deployment with containers (e.g., Docker, Podman)
    • Experience in SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MariaDB etc.)
    • Experience with Keycloak (administration of an SSO system based on Keycloak) and Linux file permissions (application and administration)
    • Experience with Automic automation (Broadcom, UC4) and creation of complex networks (application and administration)
    • Experience with the development of Java web applications based on Wildfly (Maven, NGINX).
    • Experience with migrating from a mainframe/Adabas system architecture to a Linux server/relational database system architecture
