Sales Account Executive — Federal Civilian Cybersecurity & IT Infrastructure

The Redda Group Corporation

Tysons · Hybrid Full-time Mid Level $140k – $170k/yr Today

About the role

About

The Redda Group has been retained to identify a Sales Account Executive for an established cybersecurity and IT infrastructure solutions provider serving federal civilian agencies from its headquarters in McLean, VA. The company holds Diamond-tier partnership status with Palo Alto Networks and maintains strategic partnerships with Cisco, Splunk, Tenable, and Infoblox — giving its sellers a premium, differentiated portfolio to bring to federal buyers.

The Role

  • Own a named territory of federal civilian agencies, build net-new pipeline, and run complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first meeting through close.
  • Your buyers are CIOs, CISOs, IT directors, and procurement leads at agencies like DHS, HHS, DOJ, Treasury, the VA, and similar civilian departments.
  • Engage them on priorities including Zero Trust architecture, CDM program alignment, SASE, network modernization, and advanced cybersecurity platforms from a best-in-class vendor stack.

This is a hunter position. You are expected to generate your own pipeline through targeted outreach, agency relationships, and vehicle-driven opportunities — not to manage an existing book. There is room to build something significant in this territory for the right seller.

What You Bring

  • 5–7+ years of technology sales experience in a VAR, integrator, or federal IT solutions provider environment — VAR or integrator background is a firm requirement; OEM-to-VAR transitions are welcome and well-suited to this role
  • A demonstrated track record selling into federal civilian agencies — you understand how agencies buy, how budgets cycle, and how to navigate procurement
  • Fluency with federal contract vehicles: GSA Schedule, SEWP V, CIO-SP3, or equivalent — you know how to structure and close deals through the right vehicles
  • Platform familiarity with at least one of the following: Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Splunk, Tenable, or Infoblox — you can hold a credible technical conversation with an agency CISO without relying entirely on engineering support
  • Hunter DNA — you prospect actively, build pipeline from scratch, and close net-new logos. Relationship maintenance is part of the role; relationship dependency is not
  • Based in the DMV with the ability to be in front of agency clients regularly
