As an Account Executive for Voith's digital solutions, you will accelerate the growth of our digital business by acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships in the manufacturing and process industry.
Your mission is to position Voith's digital ecosystem – including MillOne, intelligent automation modules, Advanced Analytics, and solutions for Connected Operations – as a strategic value driver for our customers.
You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, develop territory strategies, and act as a trusted advisor, helping customers achieve data-driven operational excellence. A strong hunter mentality, structured account planning, and the ability to clearly communicate digital added value are essential.
Your Tasks
- Independent acquisition of new customers (New Logos) in your sales territory with a strong focus on hunting and pipeline building.
- Identification of whitespace potentials and building a high-quality funnel of strategic opportunities.
- Expansion of existing customer relationships through targeted upselling and cross-selling activities across the digital Voith stack.
- Increase in recurring revenue by positioning our scalable SaaS and DaaS offerings.
- Development and responsibility for territory and account plans – from initial contact through negotiation to closing.
- Application of structured sales methods (e.g., MEDDICC / MEDDPICC) for developing predictable and high-quality pipelines.
- Convincing, value-oriented communication with C-level, operational stakeholders, and executives in digital transformation.
- Close collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure customer outcomes and accelerate adoption.
- Continuous monitoring of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to position Voith's digital solutions clearly and with differentiation.
- Translation of complex industrial and operational challenges into concrete digital use cases, value assumptions, and ROI-oriented arguments.
- Maintenance of precise pipeline, forecast, and opportunity documentation according to CRM processes.
- Ensuring transparent qualification, progress tracking, and reporting throughout the entire sales cycle.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration with a focus on Sales/Marketing, Business Informatics, Digital Business, or a comparable technology- or industry-related field.
- Demonstrable success in solution-oriented direct sales of SaaS, industrial software, digital platforms, analytics, or IoT solutions – ideally in complex B2B industries.
- Strong ability to open new markets, identify whitespace potentials, and independently build and manage a high-quality pipeline.
- Experience in managing complex, multi-stage sales cycles – from prospecting and discovery through value definition to negotiation and closing.
- Familiarity with modern sales methodologies such as MEDDICC / MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales, or Value Selling. Experience in creating ROI models, value cases, or account strategies is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to clearly convey complex digital solutions to C-level executives, technical leads, and operational stakeholders.
- Understanding of industrial processes, automation technologies, data platforms, Advanced Analytics, or Connected Operations. Industry experience in paper, process industry, manufacturing, or energy is a plus.
- Team-oriented, analytical, and solution-focused approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success.
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
