Application Engineer – Paving, Compaction, and Milling (Civil Construction)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical training and continuous support to Trimble’s distribution network on specialized paving and milling solutions.
• Lead the end‑to‑end instruction for system installation, commissioning, and operation for distribution teams.
• Spearhead the roll‑out of new product features and system capabilities to the global market.
• Act as a critical link between the field and product development by translating technical feedback into insights for Product Managers.
• Support high‑profile marketing and sales events, including international exhibitions and open days.

Qualifications

• Proven hands‑on experience in civil construction, specifically focused on paving, milling, or compaction.
• Technical proficiency with CAD software and 3D modeling applications.
• Working knowledge of optical total stations and field software.
• Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
• A proactive, solution‑driven mindset with the ability to handle sensitive technical situations effectively.
• Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on technical knowledge and customer needs.

Bonus Points

• Proficiency in additional languages.
• Experience with 3D machine control system installation or troubleshooting.
