About the Role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a critical role in building early‑stage pipeline. You will research and identify companies that align with the ideal customer profile, map decision‑makers, and engage prospects through thoughtful, multi‑channel outbound outreach with the goal of booking qualified sales meetings. In addition to top‑of‑funnel work, the SDR will support the progression of qualified opportunities as needed and collaborate closely with senior sales leaders. Success in this role requires comfort speaking with executives, curiosity about how companies operate, and the ability to clearly communicate value without relying on rigid scripts or processes.
What You Will
- Consistently achieve monthly sales qualified leads and pipeline targets
- Research, identify, and qualify prospective accounts and decision‑makers
- Execute outbound outreach across phone, email, and other channels to book initial sales meetings
- Follow up with inbound and warm leads that have expressed interest but not yet engaged
- Maintain a disciplined prospecting process using CRM and sales enablement tools
- Take clear, detailed notes to ensure a smooth handoff to senior sales leadership
- Partner closely with sales leadership to align on target accounts and messaging
- Develop a working understanding of the government incentives and tax credit landscape
- Clearly articulate the client’s value proposition and how it addresses common business challenges
- Share feedback and insights to help improve outreach effectiveness, volume, and conversion
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 1+ years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer‑facing role
- Experience with outbound prospecting, qualifying, and cold outreach by phone and email
- Proven ability to meet or exceed activity‑based or revenue‑related targets
- Coachable, curious, and motivated to improve through feedback
- Strong communication skills with a consultative, solutions‑oriented mindset
- Fluent in English and French
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling or prospecting into technology‑driven or professional services environments
- Comfort working remotely in a fast‑paced, evolving organization
- Strong business judgment and ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Analytical and detail‑oriented with strong time management skills
- Experience using tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Nooks, or similar platforms
- Professional phone presence and strong written communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with a high degree of autonomy
- Proactive, creative, and eager to learn and grow in a sales career
