EBC have partnered with a world-renowned engineering solutions consultancy as they seek a Sales Director to deliver new business within DACH focusing on clients across Energy, Electrification, Industrial Automation, and Machinery. This is a high-impact hunter–farmer sales role for a seller who already has strong access to decision-makers, can convert relationships into revenue quickly, and scale large strategic accounts. The role is grounded in engineering services-led selling, with the ability to extend conversations into digital and AI-led transformation.
The role is ideally based near Munich, but remote options within Germany are also available. Travel required across DACH region to visit clients is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage an existing network to open new accounts and build pipeline immediately à Identify and close opportunities across: Energy & Utilities, Electrification & Smart Infrastructure, Industrial Automation, Machinery / OEMs
- Access and engage multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies
- Position core engineering strengths: Product engineering & R&D, Plant engineering and industrial systems; sustenance, modernization, and cost optimization
- Extend discussions into: Smart manufacturing / Industry 4.0: Data, analytics, and AI in engineering and operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ideally.
- 10+ years experience in sales, business development in engineering solutions sales
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue in a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of plant engineering processes, technologies, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
