The Opportunity: Our client is a global engineering powerhouse, but their impact is local. They are looking for a commercially-driven Sales Engineer who doesn't just want to sell "kit," but wants to solve the real-world problems that keep plant managers and engineers awake at night.
If you are a Chemical or Mechanical Engineer who is as comfortable in a boardroom as you are on a mine site in the North West or a treatment plant in Gauteng, this is the role for you.
What you’ll actually be doing:
This is a "hunter" role with a technical heart. You will be the bridge between world-class technology and South African industrial needs.
- Solving the Puzzle: You’ll walk onto sites, analyze complex processes, and identify where inefficiencies are costing the client money or risking their compliance.
- The "Heavy Lifting": You will specialize in Solid-Liquid Separation, specifically positioning high-end Decanter Centrifuges for wastewater (ETP), sludge handling, and mineral processing.
- Value over Price: You won’t be a "price-list" taker. You’ll be building ROI-based proposals that prove how engineered solutions save water, energy, and long-term costs.
- Navigating the Landscape: From private industrial hubs to municipal tenders, you’ll use your network to open doors and close high-value capital projects.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Who you are:
- The Pedigree: You hold a B.Eng or Diploma (Chemical / Mechanical / Environmental). You understand the science behind the solution.
- The Track Record: You’ve spent years in the South African industrial or mining sectors. You know how to navigate long sales cycles and high-stakes negotiations.
- The Mindset: You are a "Solution Hunter." You enjoy the technical deep dive, but you are motivated by hitting targets and securing the handshake.
- The Local Edge: You understand SA environmental regulations and have a genuine passion for the "Green Transition" of our local industries.
