About
The Sales Manager is a strategic leadership role focused on expanding KAPICO SA’s footprint in the KwaZulu-Natal automotive aftermarket. The incumbent will be responsible for high-level customer acquisition, team performance management, and the financial health of the sales department.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to meet and exceed monthly revenue and gross profit targets.
- Manage the Durban sales team, providing continuous coaching and performance monitoring through Tecfinity sales dashboards.
- Personally manage and nurture relationships with "Key Accounts" and major automotive suppliers in the region.
- Stay abreast of automotive industry trends, competitor pricing, and new aftermarket product launches to ensure KAPICO SA remains competitive.
- Monitor debtor accounts and aging reports within Tecfinity to ensure that sales growth does not compromise the company’s cash flow.
- Collaborate closely with the Warehouse Manager to verify stock availability through Tecfinity before finalizing large-scale procurement contracts or bulk sales.
- Prepare monthly executive summaries for the GM highlighting market challenges, sales forecasts, and expansion opportunities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education- Grade 12 / Matric; a degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management is preferred.
- Experience-A minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience specifically within the automotive aftermarket industry.
- Expert-level proficiency in inventory lookups, and financial reporting.
- Proven track record of managing high-performance sales teams and hitting aggressive targets.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region for client visits.
Compensation
Pay: R10 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
