About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Sales Manager / Sales Executive to drive sales growth for our tiles products within the Nigerian building materials market. The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of tiles products, dealer management, contractor engagement, and market development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Promote and sell floor tiles, wall tiles, porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, and related building materials products.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the building materials and construction industry.
- Expand dealer, distributor, and contractor network across assigned territories.
- Generate leads through market visits, project tracking, referrals, and customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, contractors, builders, architects, engineers, and construction companies.
- Regularly visit dealers’ outlets and project sites to monitor product usage and market trends.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, designs, and application methods.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and track sales performance against targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams including logistics, warehouse, accounts, and customer service departments.
- Monitor stock movement and customer order fulfillment.
- Attend trade exhibitions, industry events, and marketing campaigns.
- Conduct project site visits to generate sales opportunities.
- Support promotional activities to increase brand awareness and product adoption.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND/B.Sc in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5–10 years sales experience in tiles, building materials, ceramics, sanitary wares, or related products.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian building materials and tiles market.
- Understanding of tile specifications, designs, applications, and market trends.
- Knowledge of competitor products and market positioning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
